A Tale of Two Counties - Full Report in Progress

 Santa Cruz County:

After 26 years, Santa Cruz County and Supervisor Ellen Pirie, continues to block economic use of Liberty Garden.

Pirie does not respond to her requested letter that became the December 26, 2011 report on the county's administrative confiscation of the economic use of this land. Does Pirie intend to waltz into her post-government retirement without accountability?

A Misprision of Treason. Michael Shaw delivers Misprision of Treason Notice to his Santa Cruz County Supervisor Ellen Pirie, at the 9/25/2012 board meeting. For transcript of the delivery, click here.

Alameda

County:

Michael Shaw, owner of Lockaway Storage, delivers Misprision of Treason Notice to Alameda County

In 2002, The County of Alameda confiscated Michael Shaw's use of his commercial property, known as Lockaway Storage, which is located alongside Interstate 580. After a series of legal victories Lockaway Storage has achieved a multi-million dollar litigation victory. Subsequently, the County of Alameda has appealed judgment on nefarious grounds. Alameda County has arbitrarily and unilaterally decided to alter the operating terms regarding their authority over project operations. In particular, Alameda County has focused on the landscaping and the massive dirt (chopped rock) berm, banked against the building designed to prevent its view from traffic along Interstate 580.
