In 2002, The County of Alameda confiscated Michael Shaw's use of his commercial property, known as Lockaway Storage, which is
located alongside Interstate 580. After a series of legal victories Lockaway Storage has achieved a multi-million dollar litigation victory. Subsequently, the County of Alameda has appealed judgment
on nefarious grounds. Alameda County has arbitrarily and unilaterally decided to alter the operating terms regarding their authority over project operations. In particular, Alameda County has focused
on the landscaping and the massive dirt (chopped rock) berm, banked against the building designed to prevent its view from traffic along Interstate 580.
